I love that song. I heard that the weird sound was created by a guitar that Corgan bought at a yard sale. Whenever he played the the stings open, it would make that sound. So he wrote the song around that guitar.
Dude! I was just on a Smashing Pumpkins kick last week. "Gish," "Siamese Dream," and "Melon Collie And The Infinite Sadness" are all flawless albums.
